GUIDE TO LICENSING MUSIC for your media projects
Do you want to use Monita’s music for your Web Site Royalty-Free,
for your indie film project, or DVD project?
For a small fee you can do this legally.
What the Royalty-Free License Covers:
1. Web Site Usage: Provided that the song cannot
be downloaded by your visitors and you take considerabe care to prevent
this from happening, You can get unlimited use of the licensed song
on your web site. You must also provide an obvious song credit to
Monita with a web link directed back to this web site. Something to
the effect of…….
"The Music you're hearing courtesy of Monita De Varge."

2. For Your Film / DVD / Slide Shows: You can
use the song(s) you license freely, as long as your project is a small,
independent project with less than 100 copies made. A credit should
appear in the project as follows.…..
"Song title goes here"

What this license will not cover:
1. Mass Production or Distribution:
Monita’s song(s) under this license agreement cannot be used
in any commercial product that will be mass produced (no more than
100 units). A product release of more than 100 units requires a different
kind of
license. Contact Monita with the specifics
of your project for a quote.
2. For Commercial Theater or Television Releases:
If you want to use Monita's music in a theatrical, film or television
broadcast, it is not covered by this license. For use of Monita's
music in commercial film or television, Contact
Monita with the specifics of your use for a quote.
3. Adult Themes: Song(s) licensed cannot be included
in projects that may be inappropriate for children . If you still
feel the music is appropriate, please Contact
Monita with the specifics.
4. Downloading, Sharing, Trading,: Song(s) licensed
cannot be made available for download, redistributed, traded, or
transferred to anyone else. Nor can they be used in a project that
allows the end-customer to transfer the songs for personal use.
5. Reselling: Monita’s songs cannot be resold
as songs. You can't license Monita's music, create your own CD or
DVD of those songs, and resell it as your own product. This is a
voilation of copyright laws.
Other Requirements:
1. When Licensing a song, take note that this
does not mean that you own it, your liscence covers the use of the
music. The owner of the music is the author of the music. If you
purchase a CD you own the CD but you don’t own the sound recording
on the CD.
2. The songs you license cannot be the main content
of your product (read #5, reselling above). This license is designed
to allow you to use Monita's music simply to compliment your existing
product or project.
3. This license covers one single user only. It
cannot be transferred across to another party.
